Upper Back and Neck Stiffness

by Martial Artist

Hi, I don't actually feel pain, just stiffness sometimes, especially after martial arts weapons training. Anyway, I tried the back arch exercise and then the back twist, plus the interlock your fingers behind your back (arms down) and flap your elbows. All my problems pretty much felt instantly much better. All I did was stand away from the computer and try these for a minute or two. It felt like a miracle! I'm definitely incorporating these exercises into my routine, with a repeat just before I go to bed. My hearty thanks for putting up and maintaining this website!

Matthew's reply: Hi, thanks for your comments and glad to hear those exercises helped you - another testament to the power of these simple, yet highly beneficial traditional Chinese exercises! I also often do just as you said - stand up from whatever I'm doing and spend a few minutes doing 2 or 3 exercises to relieve any tension and discomfort and re-energize and re-focus myself. All the best.
