Therapeutic Exercises, Acupuncture for Flu, Sore Throat, Body Pain?

by Anna
(Morrisville, NC, U.S.A)

What therapeutic exercises and acupuncture points would you recommend for flu, sore throat and body pain?

Matthew's reply: Hi Anna. A superb therapeutic exercise for tiredness, congestion and other symptoms during colds and flu is the Bellows:

Dry skin brushing is also highly recommended to help your body cleanse itself. This free report shows you how:

There are many points on the head, face and arms that are needled in acupuncture, or can be pressed with your fingers during colds and flu:

Also it's important to avoid junk foods, alcohol and smoking when you have a cold or the flu. Instead consume fresh, natural foods and drinks to help your body cleanse and re-balance itself. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) each of us is regarded as a unique individual, so to get specific advice on how traditional Chinese medicine techniques can help YOU, a face to face consultation with a TCM practitioner (acupuncturist and/or herbalist) is best.

Acupressure and chemotherapy
by: jjdragonfly

I just started chemotherapy, are there any pressure points that are especially helpful for nausea?

Matthew's reply: Hi, chemotherapy weakens the digestive system in particular, which results in nausea and other symptoms. One acupressure point for nausea that you may find useful is illustrated on the following page:

Copy and paste the link, then scroll down a bit till you see "Point 1". It's a multi-purpose acupressure point commonly used for digestive upsets related to stress and anxiety.

There are other points that may well be useful for you too. Post here if you have further questions.
