Reflexology for Diabetics?

by Amitava
(United Arab Emirates)

Does reflexology cure diabetics?

Matthew's reply: Hi Amitava, thanks for contacting me. There are different types of diabetes and different causes. Reflexology can help but you also need to change your diet and lifestyle. Bad diet and lifestyle habits, over time, are a major cause of most health problems. So, if you want any treatment for diabetes (or any other problem) to work you must address these aspects too.

Chinese herbal medicine treats diabetes. Are there Chinese medicine doctors where you live? A Chinese medicine doctor can also tell you what diet is best for YOU and your diabetes. You can search for a doctor on www.acufinder.com.

Regarding reflexology for diabetes, I don't have specific techniques on the site but you can start with these easy reflexology techniques for general use. Included is a reflexology foot chart so you locate specific points. Press and rub any sore or tender spots that you find and also, for diabetes, you should press and rub the points for the heart, kidneys, stomach, spleen and eyes. Other points may be useful depending on the type and severity of your diabetes.

If you have questions or comments regarding reflexology for diabetics (or other problems), or about Chinese herbal medicine and diet, etc, for diabetes just post them below.

Regards,

Matthew
