Lower Back Pain Exercises

by Kumar
(New Delhi India)

I have sensations and burning in feet last one month. Sometimes these sensations are in the whole body. Please give reply why this problem occur. What exercises can I do? Are there any specific medicines? Please help.

Matthew's reply: Hi Kumar, low back pain with burning sensations in your feet suggests a problem with your lower spine. Did you injure your back recently? Sometimes it doesn't even have to be an injury that causes lower back pain - it can come from playing sports, lifting heavy things, sitting for too long, many ways.

I suggest you see a doctor to have your spine x-rayed. This is usually the first step with such problems. You could also try some of these stretching exercises for the lower back. Pick 1 or 2 exercises that you feel best match your problem and start from there. Do them slowly and gently though - do not force it!

Let me know how you get on. You can post questions or comments below.

All the best,

Matthew
