Lower Back Ache

by PJ
(Singapore)

For a week now I have been suffering pain at the lower back. When I try to get up from the bed, I feel as if my skeletal system cannot support me and I have to adjust my weight in order to stand up. My BMI is about 25.5. I have had neck ache for almost 3 years now due to sitting in front of a laptop everyday. If there any exercise i can do to help?

Matthew's reply: Hi PJ, for lower back ache I suggest you try the Lumbar Rub. It's an easy self-massage technique and very effective for lower back ache. I do it daily because I sit a lot at the computer too. I see you are in Singapore, so I recommend you buy some Tiger Balm and put some on your lower back and rub it in as you do the massage technique.

If that technique doesn't give you enough relief I recommend the Chinese Long Life Exercise Program. This is a general exercise program that contains several exercises to stop lower back pain. There is also a program for neck pain.

Any questions or comments just post them below.

All the best,

Matthew
