Having a Colonoscopy, Need to Relax.

by Mrs Barbara Cole

I am having a colonoscopy tomorrow and I am so stressed and worried. I don't know how to cope. What is the best breathing exercise or anything you can recommend to calm me?

Matthew's reply: Hi Barbara, not sure if you will read this in time but there are several breathing (and acupressure) techniques on this site that may help. I say may because the techniques may not work as well you hope by tomorrow. It can take several months to really get the full benefits of breathing exercises, however it does depend on the individual and their specific problem. Please take a look here. Any questions just post below. Also, there is a technique on another site called EFT that may help you, even after your colonoscopy. See www.emofree.com.

All the best,

Matthew
