Face Massage for Numb Chin, Lips, Tongue?
by Marge
(New Jersey)
I had a procedure done to correct trigeminal neurology (trigeminal neuralgia). It left the left side of my face, chin, lips and tongue numb. What exercise if any do you think will help me?
Matthew's reply: Hi Marge, while the Face section of this site does contain acupressure and massage techniques for various facial problems, they won't be specific enough or effective enough for you, i.e. for numb chin, lips and tongue.
I recommend you consult an acupuncturist as acupuncture is far more likely to help you. Acufinder.com can help you find an acupuncturist if you don't already know of one.
I was an acupuncturist in Australia for 10 years so if you have questions about having acupuncture for numb chin, lips, tongue, etc, just post below.
All the best,
Matthew
