Exercises for Good Posture

by Bob
(Midwest, USA)

Hello, first of all thanks for the WONDERFUL site! Great stuff here. I've bookmarked it and sent it on to other people. My question is regarding posture. I have a really bad posture with hunched shoulders. As a result, I have constant back pain. I try to sit and stand straight but it only lasts for a few minutes until I have to end up slouching again. Which of the back exercises do you recommend specifically for this? Thanks!

Matthew's reply: Hi Bob, for relieving back pain from bad posture, excess sitting, overwork, sports, etc, I recommend the Chinese Long Life Exercise Program. The program, which is on video, contains at least 5 exercises that can make your back straighter, stronger and more flexible. These same exercises gave me my life back after a back injury forced me to stop work and sports when I was 20. Other followers of the program report plenty of other health benefits from the program too, which you can read about via the above link. Any questions about the program and the back exercises in it just post them below.

All the best,

Matthew
