Sleeping Enough For Good Health

One of my recent health tips was about the importance of eating plenty of cooked vegetables every day. Just doing this will significantly improve your health. If you missed the tip see the back issues link at the bottom of the page.

Today's tip is another common sense one that a lot of people do not heed: For good health you MUST get enough sleep.

During sleep is when the rebuilding and healing of your body and mind takes place. During the day when you are busy and active you are expelling energy and wearing down your body and mind.

If you want to be healthy and stay healthy make sure you get enough sleep every night. Adults should have at least 8 hours sleep a night, children and teens at least 10 hours a night.

Some adults say it's impossible for them to sleep 8 hours a night. Some say they don't need this much sleep. In my experience many such people have just gotten used to getting by on little sleep.

Many people have become overstimulated through excessive consumption of stuff like caffeine, nicotine and sugar and excessive mental activity such as too much thinking and worrying, all of which make it hard to switch off at night and get enough sleep. Then, during the day they need to rely on stimulants to get by.

My evening/sleep program touches on all this plus shows you some simple, practical self-help techniques for switching off at night and getting a good sleep.

I've been using the techniques myself and showing them to others for over 20 years.
Any questions let me know.
