Chinese Herbal Skin Remedies

I have started a new section on my herbal remedies site, about Chinese herbal skin remedies.

Chinese herbal medicine is typically good for skin problems like acne, eczema, dermatitis, hives and heat rashes.

According to Chinese medicine, the typical Western diet and lifestyle is to blame for many skin problems. Poor diet, unbalanced lifestyle and stress are major factors.

Basically, over time, these 3 things create excessive heat in the body. Excessive heat manifests in the body in various places, such as the skin. The heat factor is why so many skin problems look hot and feel hot.

Chinese medicine recognizes other causes of skin problems too (and not all involve excess heat in the body) but diet, lifestyle and stress are key factors which professional herbalists look for and aim to address.

The section on herbal skin remedies has just begun so if you have questions about a skin problem not yet covered let me know.

All the best,

Matthew
