Healthy Christmas Eating Tip

If you celebrate Christmas don't forget this golden rule from Traditional Chinese Dietary Therapy - stop eating when you are about 75% full. This goes for everyone at all times, not just Christmas.

If you do overindulge don't collapse onto the sofa or bed, go for a walk - not a fast, power walk, but a slow, leisurely stroll for 20 or 30 minutes.

To make this more effective, as you walk rub your abdomen in circles around your belly button with the palm of your hand. Here in China I often see people doing this during their after-dinner walk. A cup of strong, hot green tea or puerh tea will help too. Remember though, prevention is the best cure!

All the best,

Matthew
