Green Tea - Simple, Effective Home Remedy For...

Green tea has been the number one daily health beverage in China and elsewhere in Asia for centuries. I've written about it before but it's time to mention it again as it is a VERY simple way to improve many aspects of your health.

Out of the hundreds of herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine green tea is one that virtually everyone can consume on a daily basis without needing to see a herbalist.

I've been drinking it daily for at least the last ten years so I know without a doubt just how good it is.

According to Chinese medicine green tea:

1. Clears the head and eyes

2. Clears phlegm and heat

3. Stops thirst, mental fatigue and hangover

4. Relieves indigestion due to overeating

5. Stops certain headaches

6. Helps with weight loss, high cholesterol and more.

There are many types of "green" tea though. Actual green tea is un-fermented, tastes grassy and if you drink too much on an empty stomach it can make you nauseous. Semi-fermented tea, like the one I drink, is less harsh and tastes and smells slightly sweet. My favorite by far is an Oolong variety called Tie Guan Yin. Black tea (or red tea as it's called in China) is an example of a fermented tea.

My health tip this week? Replace all unnecessary drinks - like coffee, milk tea with sugar, soda, excess alcohol, excess fruit juice - with green tea. Do this and see what a difference it makes to your health, such as your digestion, energy, skin and general overall health.
