Last week's tip was about acid reflux and how Chinese medicine considers it to usually be caused by a liver-stomach imbalance. Bad breath is often a result of the same imbalance.
Impaired liver function due to emotional stress, anger and frustration, plus heat in the stomach from too many "hot" foods and drinks leads to bad breath.
Poor dental hygiene can play a role but for many people with bad breath this is not a factor. There are plenty of people with excellent teeth and gums who religiously brush and floss and even scrape their tongue yet they have bad breath.
For these people there is clearly something going on at a deeper level, as I explain in my
article on bad breath.
Any questions just let me know.
All the best,
